A good smile is a necessity on your wedding day. Your wedding pictures will remain in your family for generations.
Following, some advice on achieving that perfect wedding day smile. There are a number of very easy and inexpensive options that fit within most if not all budgets.
Then there are more expensive alternatives – probably outside most budgets.
Maintain a healthy mouth
It goes without saying that ‘The key to a great wedding and all smiles’ is regular maintenance. (I am not a Dentist) but brushing and flossing twice daily is an almost sure guarantee of bright teeth and strong gums. It also is a great way to avoid bad breath certainly not something you want on your special wedding ceremony day!
Avoid potential stains
To ensure your whitest, brightest smile, avoid certain foods, drinks and habits in the months and weeks leading up to your wedding.
• Red wine
• Dark fruits and veggies like red grapes, cranberries and beets
Consider whitening and bleaching treatments
There are a variety of methods for whitening or bleaching your teeth. See your dentist to discuss bleaching and whitening options that are extremely effective. Or you can go to your local Pharmacy and purchase ‘the do it yourself’ whitening strips
More expensive options (if your budget allows)
Veneers or bonding
Veneers are for people who want to permanently alter their smile. These laminate shells fit over your existing teeth but are expensive!
Bottom line there is no excuse to not have a beautiful smile on your wedding day!
I am not talking about the ‘perfect phony perfectly aligned smiles’ you see on television but a normal healthy smile that will make you look and feel good.
